We collect information you provide directly:

• Account information (username, email, date of birth)
• Profile information (bio, photos, physical attributes, preferences)
• Location data (with your permission)
• Messages and communications
• Usage data and device information

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve our services
• To show you relevant profiles nearby
• To facilitate messaging between users
• To ensure platform safety and prevent abuse
• To send you notifications (with your consent)

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the platform (hosting, email, content moderation).

Uploaded images, including images intended for private albums, are scanned by Shield by Project Arachnid, operated by the Canadian Centre for Child Protection, to detect known child sexual abuse material and harmful or abusive images of children. Images are stripped of embedded metadata before submission. The provider stores data in Canada and may retain near-match or no-known-match submissions for child-protection purposes and allow access by trusted classification partners. Private-album access restrictions do not prevent this safety processing. See the Project Arachnid privacy policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is soft-deleted and permanently removed after 30 days.

Data retained independently by a content safety provider is subject to that provider's retention and privacy policies.

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to:

• Access your data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and data
• Object to processing
• Data portability

You can delete your account yourself in Settings. Self-service data export isn't available yet — to exercise your right of access or portability, email us at privacy@amigoq.com and we will put together a copy of your data for you.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, secure password hashing, and regular security audits.
